Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as a news reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV. O'Dell later became morning news anchor for WCBD TV and also as a crime reporter. O'Dell's reportage in Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases resulted in the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the instances. Ms. O'Dell won the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell has worked in Charleston reporting, was a co-anchor at NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving over to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter on weekends. She also works as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's reported on events such like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of pre-show arrivals in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
